Spare Change

My iPod decided to stop working suddenly as I was listening to Foo Fighters.  I guess it didn't like my taste in music .

 

The solution:

 

 

No joke.  If it doesn't work, repeat and try to restore again.  Good luck w/ any iPod misadventures you may have.  BTW, it probably only works to fix iPod's w/ hard drives.

Hrm... after patiently waiting for several months for a rebate check to arrive, I finally called Mushkin (a maker of RAM) today to inquire as to the status of my rebate application... in other words, "What gives?".

 

The lady on the other side of the line kindly informed me that a notice of 'non-compliance' was mailed out to my place in September... good thing I didn't get it .  They say that I did not mail-in my UPC barcode...

 

Okay... now seriously, if I were to take the time to fill out the form, cut out the UPC, put it in an envelope and send it to the States... wouldn't you think I'd actually INCLUDE the UPC barcode in the envelope?

 

[sigh]... I'm sure they make you send in the UPC just so that they can lose it and tell me that I didn't send it in... so lame.

 

 

So, I pretty much count that as $15 goodbye .
